Diary of the Green Snake Short Story Series
|
This story stings like a scratch in the back of your throat.
Diary of the Green Snake is a raw and gritty portrayal of life in the Old West, especially the long journey to California favored by oh-so-many wagon trains. Life on the dusty trail is hard enough without a curse on your head. You see, this wagon train carries a few magic secrets. Of course it does. It's from Christina "DZA" Marie . Untamed nature has its own dark magic, and a dark history to go with it. Our pioneers are in for some supernatural surprises. Luckily, whether they know it or not, they've got the mysterious powers of Green Snake along for the ride. Diary of the Green Snake is a short story series available on Sic Semper Serpent Publishing House's Patreon page. We follow the journey of Bi "Elizabeth" Qing, a teenage girl making her way to California in 1860. As the series progresses, she finds it increasingly hard to keep her dark past, unique family lineage, and magical powers a secret. Especially with a seemingly endless array of monsters, demons, and ghosts attacking the caravan. You can read the first story, "Tithes and Offerings" here ! |
The Minnesotan Witch
"Join the DFMC, they said. It'll be fun, they said. They left out the part where I get impaled by unicorns, shot by wannabe witches, and buried under twenty feet of snow."
Nate Johnson is the rookie agent at the Department of Fae and Magical Creatures (DFMC), an underground agency dedicated to keeping the Fae world and the mortal world separate.
After almost getting killed and eaten alive by a unicorn, Nate and his legendary partner Agent Arnold Grant are sent to Minnesota. Half a dozen people have gone missing, and the suspect is the mysterious, reclusive Black Witch. But not all as is it appears, and by the time Nate manages to dig himself out of the Minnesota snow, everything he thought he knew about the two worlds will be turned upside-down.

Gary the Geck's Guide to Getting Your Humans to Get Together (and Other Short Stories)
A lesbian angel hunts demons during the apocalypse. Disney lied about what mermaids actually look like and how well they (don't) sing. An ambitious gecko plays matchmaker.
"Gary the Gecko's Guide to Getting Your Humans to Get Together, and Other Short Stories" is a collection of Christina "DZA" Marie's funniest, most heart-warming, and best short stories and flash fics. Enjoy crazy tales of heartwarming ghosts, rick-rolling goblins, and summer camp witches.
This has some of my funniest, fluffiest fantasy and sci-fi shorts. Most have gotten me small, local awards or advancements in the NYC Midnight Short Story and Flash Fiction contests.

To Tame a Dragon

Less Than Three Press
, a publishing house that specializes in LGBTQIA+ works, has released their anthology
Heart of Steel
, which includes my novella
To Tame a Dragon
:
Ser Myles Agrippa is a renowned dragon slayer in service to Septimos, a country on the brink of war after destroying a nation of magical shapeshifters. Lord Zyon Adler is a foreigner in the Septimoan court, and a scholar who specializes in dragons. Neither are what they appear to be. "Ser" Myles would be shamed and severely punished if the world found out she was a woman, and Lord Zyon would be immediately executed if they learned he was a shapeshifter. As the nations prepare for yet another war, Myles and Zyon must work together to protect their secrets. But everything is thrown into question as they must choose between love, loyalty, and survival. Dragons, magic, and a little romance thrown in because I am a sap. To Tame a Dragon is now available with the Heart of Steel anthology. Order it here . |
