Book Release: Short Tales from Earth's Final Chapter: Book 2

Endless Ink Publishing has just released their latest installment in the Earth's Final Chapter series Short Tales from Earth's Final Chapter, Book 2 , which includes one of my short stories: "The Sea Dragon."

For those of you who don't know, Earth's Final Chapter is an ongoing sci-fi series of illustrated novellas and short stories that take place on Earth several hundred years in the future. Humanity is fractured, divided into domed cities with dying technology. It's written by several authors and illustrators from around the world and edited by Julian Fernandes.

My first contribution to this series was Homestead Hunts , which features a cannibal society in a forgotten mega-dome in Canada. Even though it's the eighth book in the series, you do not necessarily have to read the first seven books to understand what's going on. (It's like watching Doctor Strange or Black Panther without having seen any of the other Marvel movies. You'll miss a couple of Easter eggs, but understand the story perfectly fine.)

Short Tales is a little different. For my story, at least, it's a direct sequel Book Nine, Kyo , written by Julian Fernandes. Japan has sunk into the ocean and now its people live in underwater cities, and amid all the political turmoil, a few scientists find and capture a large serpentine creature that, for lack of a better term, is called a sea dragon. My short story, "The Sea Dragon," is basically a shortened, underwater version of How to Train Your Dragon , though it is tragically lacking in Vikings.

If you want to read Short Tales from Earth's Final Chapter , you can purchase it on Endless Ink's website here . It's available in both digital and paperback formats. It's also available to my $5+ patrons on my Patreon page .
